Ibrahim

Ibrahim was abducted on November 21, 2021 alongside dozens of other travelers along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

He was released on Wednesday after spending nearly three months in captivity.

THEANALYSTNG gathered that since his abduction, the family had been negotiating his release, from N50million initial ransom demand to N500,000, six crates of Lager Beer, one carton of Power Horse and 2 Bajaj Motorcycles.

Family sources said the bandits initially insisted on getting two Boxer motorcycles not Bajaj, but when the family drew their attention to the ban on selling the brand in many states, they accepted.

Our sources further revealed that:“They later agreed to collect Bajaj motorcycles with 6 crates of Lager Beer, 1 carton of Power Horse and the sum of N500,000 as ransom.

“During the negotiations, they warned us not to install a tracker or poison the beer. Even buying the beer was difficult for us.

“When the items were finally delivered to them after hours of torturous journey in the bush, they said our brother would only be released after certifying that no tracker was installed and the drinks were not harmful.

“They then released him the following day after certifying the items delivered. They didn’t even give him money to transport himself back home but asked him to beg one of the community leaders along his way out of the bush.
