Lokoja -based Islamiya School,Madarasatul Rau’datul Nabi’u Litahfizul Qur’an Wada’asatul Islamiya,
Unguwan Kura, on Sunday, 20 February 2022 graduated 15 students
The fanfare – like ceremony was held at Muslim Secondary School, Unguwan kura, Lokoja.
Speaking at the occasion, Head teacher of the school,
Malam Alkasim Muhammed, said the school was a tuition-free system which was established in 1st September 2021 for the purpose of impacting Qur’anic knowledge on children at their early stage of life.
Muhammed explained that the school begen with the children of the proprietor at his residence, “today we have over 150 students across the area.
He charged the graduands to maintain the impacts of the Holy Qur’an they acquired by reciting a part on daily basis.
The Head teacher advised them to be obedient, respectful and dutiful to their parents and charged the parents to follow up with their children in improving their knowledge on the path of God.
While thanking those who had contributed immensely to the success of the graduation ceremony, Muhammed commended the proprietor of the school, Malam Mahmuda Sadauna Faila for establishing the tuition free Islamiya school .
Speaking with our reporter, Alhaji Haruna Sarkin Makada of Lokoja whose two daughters,
Ramatu (wawu) Haruna and
Aminah Haruna were amongst the graduands, commended the proprietor for dedicating his resources toward the uplifting of Qur’anic knowledge.
He admonished parents to cherish the knowledge acquired and not relented in seeking God’s knowledge at all time.
According to him; “The best way to achieve this is to cherish the knowledge of the Holy Qur’an at all time, especially when you are still young and you would be blessed in return.”
Sarkin Makada urged Muslim parents to always send their wards for early Qur’anic knowledge.
The event which was attended by Former Secretary of Kogi state Pilgrim Board, Alhaji Idris Baba’ango,Kahlifa Yahya Soje, Chief Imam of Unguwan Kura Juma’a Mosque,Sheikh Abubakar Adamu,and other dignitaries, features recitation from the Holy Qur’an, presentation of certificates of attendance to the graduands.
