AN aspirant for the Kogi State House of Assembly under the platform of Allah Progressive Congress ( APC) Hon. Ibrahim Sulaiman a k. a Barazana,has promised to give priority to education, saying education development will be the main focus if elected in 2023.
Sulaiman who is contesting for the seat of the Lokoja 1 Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, made the promise while speaking to journalists in Lokoja on Monday.
The house of Assembly hopeful noted that education remains the only key towards any meaningful development for any community, stressing further that he would ensure that deserved attention is given to education in the area, lamenting the deplorable state of education in Lokoja 1 constituency.
He promised to use his mandate to support the development of education in the area, especially for primary and secondary pupils in the constitute and also to train unemployed youths on vocational skills in Lokoja 1 constituency.
” Education is the bedrocks of development of any society,that’s why I have been in forefront in assisting our people by way of payment of tuition fees, provision of educational materials and scholarship for our indigents students.
“To consolidate to what we have been doing, we are ready to continue to do more to better the lives of our people in Lokoja 1constituency” he said
Sulaiman assure the people that if elected,he will work with relevant authorities to ensure that dividends of Democracy are deliver to the doorsteps of the people of the constitute.
He appealed to APC supporters from the area to remain United by supporting Governor Yahaya Bello in his bid to succeed President Muhammmadu Buhari.
