Kogi Commissioner For Solid Minerals Resources Pays WEAC Fees For 50 Indigents students

The Kogi state Commissioner for Solid Minerals Resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu on Saturday paid West African Examination Council (WEAC) Fees for 50 Indigents students.

Gegu while presenting the Cheques to the beneficiaries said the gesture will enable them undertake the examination and reduce the burden of WAEC fees on their parents.

He encouraged the students to be more serious with their studies, saying that education is the hub of human development.

“Today, we are presenting cheques of N50,000 each to 50 beneficiaries,this are part of my commitment to improve on the education programs of His Exellency Governor Yahaya Bello and to reduce the burden of WEAC Fees on parents.’ he said

The commissioner commended Governor Bello for his commitment to good policies and programmes that have direct impact on the lives of the people of Kogi state and appealed to Kogites to support him in his bid to succeed President Muhammmadu Buhari in 2023.

The occasion was witnessed by Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye, Special Advisers,APC Chietains and parents of the beneficiaries.
