The Secretary General of Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Hon. Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar Bukky,has been accorded the prestigious award for Humanitarian and philanthropic by Kogi Arewa in Women based on his Philanthropy and starling qualities.
Presenting the award in Lokoja, on Monday 7th January 2022, Secretary of the group,Hajiya Fatima Abdulkadir, said that now was the time to honor such distinguished and philanthropist like Hon. Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar Bukky,who had distinguished himself among his peers by impacting positively on the lives of the people, irrespective of their religion, tribe or political affiliations.
“After series of assessment, we concluded that Hon. Bukky, Secretary General of ALGON deserves our most prestigious ” Humanitarian, Philanthropic and Leadership Award.”
“This honour is in recognition and appreciation of the fact that he is a true Democrat and a Nigerian patriot,” she said.
The former APC woman leader further explained that Bukky’s sterling qualities and performance in Humanitarian,his laudable achievements as Campaign Director in 2019 elections and now as Secretary General of ALGON, were among several factors that qualified him to be conferred with this prestigious award.
“His verifiable cumulative performance index in Girl Child Education, empowerments, brilliance and unprecedented achievements input, humility, compassion for the common man, his courage and efforts by providing the best leadership , no doubt, has impacted on, not only the people of Lokoja, but all Kogites , in very practical, beneficial and positive ways,” she said.
Abdulkadir urged other leaders to emulate Bukky whom she described as lover and promoter of Girl Child Education.
Representative of the the awardee,Comrade Musa Babaani, who spoke on behalf of Bukky, thanked the Assocation for the honour.
He noted that with the award bestowed on him, the association no doubt have ginger him to put more Efforts towards the development of his people and humanity at large.
Bukky launched the Almanac of the Assocation with the sum of ₦500,000 only and dedicated the award to his Community.
