Alhaji Abubakar Khalid Sulaiman, Director of Administration APC National Secretariat, member representing Lokoja/ Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim, Cigari of Lokoja, ACP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, Waziri of Lokoja, Alhaji Abdulrahman Idi on Sunday led the pack of dignitaries that attended the fidau prayer for the repose of the soul of Hajiya Nana Fatima, mother-inlaw of His Royal Highness the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammmadu Kabir Maikarfe111,in Lokoja.
Other dignitaries that graced the event include Hakimis,Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Sha’aban,his counterpart, Sheikh Abubakar Adamu and imam of kutepa Mosque,Abu Bilal,Alhaji Abugi Umar Eggan, Members of lokoja Traditional council, Islamic clerics, politicians amongst others.
Hajiya Fatima died last week at the age of 82 and was buried According to Islamic rite.
The fidau prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Sha’aban, who was supported by eminent scholars including the Imam of Unguwan Kura Juma’a Mosque, Sheikh Abubakar Adamu,Malam Tanko Tale, Malam Ibrahim Zakari and members of state Council of Ulama’u.
Imam Sha’aban who extolled the virtues of the deceased prayed Allah to forgive and grant her eternal rest.
In a brief sermon, Imam Abubakar Adamu, charged the children of the deceased to sustain her legacies of good neighbourliness and friendly disposition to family members.
Speaking with Newsmen after the prayer, Alhaji Abubakar Khalid Sulaiman, described Fatima as a pillar of the family and prayed Allah to forgive her all her shortcomings, grand the families the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable lost.
