Bukky receives accolades for clearing over ₦200,000 Medical bill for accident victim

Secretary General of Assocation of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Honourable Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar, a.k.a Bukky,has received applause from general public as well as men and women of goodwill in the State capital for clearing hospital bills of Mrs Sa’adat Umar,who was involved in a motor accident early last year along Lokoja – Abuja road while traveling with her husband.

Sa’adatu, according to report was said to be six months pregnant when the incidence occured .

According to Chukwumeka Muhammed, who spoke with our reporter said that he hard the pathetic story of the victim when he visited a Patient at Federal Medical Center,Lokoja last year,that Sa’adatu and her husband who spent all his savings were stranded for over six months at FMC Lokoja,due to their inability to settle medical bills.

“When I was informed that the victim couldn’t clear her medical bills,non could save feed even after the husband disposed all his properties,I decided to contact Bukky in Abuja,who responded immediately and approved the payment of the medical bills ₦200,000″ and feeding allowances for the victim and her husband,” he said.

Sa’adatu who expressed her gratitude to Bukky after receiving the money, described the gesture as laced with spiritual connotation, declaring that when a man with milk of human kindness practically demonstrates it, according to her, it should not be mistaken for politics alone.

Malam Isah Ibrahim and Adamu Yakubu who barred their minds separately when our reporter ran into them at the hospital, stated that for any politician who is not elected or appointed to have put eyes on the ground to discover that there could be indigent patients who can not foot their medical bills should be applauded and not be taken for granted, vowing to always show their support, loyalty, and solidarity to the Bukky when the need arises, while enjoining him to keep up his good work.
