APC National Administrative Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Sulaiman Khalil,has been honoured with a humanitarian and philanthropist award by the Lokoja Likes Mind Group at a colourful ceremony in Lokoja on Sunday.
Speaking on the award, the Chairman of the Assocation, Rtd . Major Femihi
Akerejola, said the humanitarian award was in recognition of Khalil’s immense contribution to the political evolution and philanthropic gestures exhibited by the awardee.
He said as the administrative Secretary of the ruling party,Khalil had also stamped his authority as a Politician whose philanthropic gesture knew no bound, adding that his contributions in all spheres of human endeavour would never be fairly judged by the verdict of history.
Akerejola said Lokoja Likes Mind Group, saw the compelling need to reward the good riddance of those who had stamped their imprimatur for the society to grow, pointing out that one had to meet the Group’s’ criteria before he or she was conferred with the an award.
Earlier in his opening remarks,Deputy Chairman of the association who doubled as the Deputy Registrar, Federal University,Lokoja,Mr Constant Danlami Lakpeni,commended Alhaji Abubakar Sulaiman Khalil,who he described as a Patriot and a philanthropist.
He noted that the awadee’s contributions towards the development of his people and Community, drew the attention of the Assocation whose aims and objectives is to reward and encourage people like Khalil .
” I want to use this medium to also appreciate all of you,as members of Lokoja Likes Mind Group,your contributions and commitments will no go in vain” he said.
In his remarks, APC National Administrative Secretary said the award had inspired him to contribute his quota and putting his best to develop his Community,pointing out that achieving the feat entailed a great deal of commitment, courage and absolute sacrifice.
In his closing remarks, Mr Tunde moonshine, explained that the group has no political or religion inclination.
Tunde explained that the maiden edition of Award Night and end of year party is to honour members of the association who excelled within the period under review.
“One of our aim is to promote education and through the deputy register,Mr Constant Danlami Lakpeni, we were able to secured admission for over 20 Indigents students at federal University Lokoja,”
He Commended the chairman of the Association,Rt. Major Akerejola who used his influenced as a retired army to recruit our people into Nigeria army
