The Chairman of the movement, Comrade Iliyasu Zakari informed journalists in Lokoja that members of the organization want to play by the books, hence its decision to carry the public along every step of the way.
According to him”The fight by this group is not for our personal gains as members. It is a fight for the common man. It is for that petty trader fighting through thick and thin to ensure she sells her wares and sends her child to school. It is for that restauranteur refrigerating their food stuff to prevent damage for goods that are now very expensive.

“Our fight is for that seller of sachet water by the corner. It is also for that soft drink seller and other petty businesses and even big businesses that depend on electricity to make their businesses run smoothly.

“In fact, this fight is for all offices and organizations, all households and every citizen of this state. We want a better service from the AEDC that satisfy our money’s worth. We have helped them enough. It is time they reciprocate or they should be ready to see the full weight of our people’s anger.”

Meanwhile, reliable information reaching our reporter revealed that the Kogi Regional Office of the AEDC has called for calm, and dialogue as the company is working assiduously to see that it addressed the issues itemised by the movement.
