The Chairman and founder of Late Abubakar Ola Foundation,Alhaji Abubakar Zakari Ola, has expressed grief over the death of the
Makama of Lokoja,Rtd Rear Admiral Ibrahim Drisu.
Zakari in a statement he personally signed on Tuesday, which was obtained by Newsmen in Lokoja, described the late Chairman of Lokoja Emirate traditional title holders as a man of peace who ensured peace and tranquility in his emirate throughout his reign.
The statement further said the deceased was an asset to the entire people of Lokoja emirate due to his fatherly role to all.
“The death of a loved one is painful more so, the death of a community leader, no matter how long he must have lived,” the statement said.
He said that the deceased served humanity with all sincerity, commitment and dedication, pointing out that he would be greatly missed for his wise counsel.
He condoled HRH the Maigari of Lokoja, Dr Muhammmadu Kabir Maikarfi 111,and the entire people of Lokoja,and prayed Allah to grant him Janatur’firdaus.
Makama of Lokoja died on Monday in Abuja after a protracted illness,he has since been buried according to Muslim rites.
