Late Makama Of Lokoja Laid To Rest
 

The late Makama of Lokoja, Rtd Rear Admiral Ibrahim Drisu, who died at the age of 72 on Monday,in Abuja, has been buried in Unguwan Kura Muslim cementary, Lokoja by 2.30pm.

The funeral prayer which took place at Lokoja Central musque, was led by Khalifah sani abdulkadir zaria,who came from Zaria in kaduna state, to performed the funeral prayer.

Present at the funeral prayer was some top dignitaries,Chief Imam of Lokoja,sheikh Aminu Sha’aban, Military officers from Naval headquarters, serving and retired Army officers, traditional title holders,traditional rulers within and outside the state.

The attendees eulogised the late Makama emphasizing that they have lost a father who was a man of religious virtues and advocate of peace and unity.

According to them, Lokoja Emirate Council and the state, in particular, has lost a man of peace who believes in diplomacy.

The late Makama of Lokoja was the 3rd on the throne, crowned by His Royal Highness,The Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Dr Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111 about four years ago.
