The Gabi of Lokoja and a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) Alhaji Sulaiman Baba Ali,has said that he received with sadness and deep feeling, the news of the passing away of the Makama of Lokoja, Rtd. Ibrahim Drisu,who died on Monday in Abuja.
In a statement signed by him and obtained on Monday in Lokoja by THEANALYSTNG, Ali described the demised of Makama as a great lose not only to his family but to the entire people of Lokoja and the state at large.
“Despite his ailing condition of recent the Makama’s uncommon leadership qualities as the Chairman of Lokoja emirate Council traditional title holders earned him respect among his peers.
“The death of the Makama has created a vacuum difficult to be filled considering his contributions to peace, stability and progress of Lokoja Emirate Council and the state” he said.
He condoled His Royal Highness the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Dr Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111 and the entire members of Lokoja Emirate Council over the demised of Makama, Gabi pray Allah in His infinite mercies to grant the families and entire people of Lokoja the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable lost.
