Dan Madamin Lakwaja,Alhaji Danlami Sule has expressed sadness over the death of the Makama of Lokoja and Nakorji of Muye,Rtd Rear Admiral Ibrahim Drisu, whose sad even took place on Monday after long illness.
In a codolance message he personally signed and made available to Newsmen in Lokoja on Tuesday,he described the death of the late Makama as a loss to the emirate, Lokoja and kogi state at large considering the leadership acumen of the Rtd Naval General.
The statement said during the reign of late Makama as the Chairman of Lokoja Emirate Council traditional title holders, his selfless service consolidated the peaceful coexistence of the people in the emirate.
‘’The late Drisu would be remembered for his support towards developmental strides of the Maigari of Lokoja,HRH Dr Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111, aimed at making live easy for the people,’’ said the statement.
Sule,vcommiserated with Maigari of Lokoja, Lokoja Emirate Council and the family of the deceased,and
prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him paradise.
