Kano State House of Assembly has banned construction of corner shops and any other structures within the premises of Waje Juma’at Mosque, Fagge,kano
THEANALYSTNG reports that the directive followed a motion moved by a member representing Dala Constituency Lawan Hussaini Chediyar ‘Yan gurasa on Tuesday.
A statement issued in Kano on Thursday signed by the spokesperson of the House Uba Abdullahi said the motion had attracted response and support from other members of the Assembly.
The House has constituted a nine member fact finding committee on the construction and report back within two weeks.
The committee has Member representing Bunkure Constituency Muhammad Uba Gurjiya as Chairman, with Sunusi Usman Bataiya, Dahiru Zarewa, Nuhu Abdullahi Achika and Lawan Hussaini Chediyar ‘Yan gurasa as members.
Others are Abubakar Dalladi Isa Kademi, Muhammad Tukur and Sale Ahmed Marke, while Deputy Director Legal Services in the House will serve as Secretary.
