The Gabi of Lokoja, Alhaji Sulaiman Baba Ali and Alhaji Danlami Abubakar Sule,who is the Dan Madami of Lokoja, were in Lokoja on Thursday,where they paid condolence visit to the family of late Makama of Lokoja,Rear Admiral Ibrahim Drisu,who died on Monday in Abuja at the age of 72
Sule ,in company of others sympathisers, paid tribute to the late Retired Military General, whom he described as a patriot who served Nigeria and his community meritoriously in different positions and left behind indelible marks.
He described the death of Drisu as a great loss to the people of Lokoja, coming at a time the Lokoja Emirate Council is in dire need of his wise guidance and counsel.
Ali, conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family as well as His Royal Highness the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111,and people of Lokoja over the huge loss, praying Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus.
In his own tributes,Danlami Abubakar Sule,who holds the traditional title of Dan Madami of Lokoja, described the deceased as a disciplined and forthright father as well as family pillar who lived an exemplary life and remained a source of inspiration for others until his death.
He said Makama’s death is a great loss, not only to his immediate family but to the entire Lokoja community as well, consoling members of the family of the deceased to take solace in the fact that our late brother and father lived a life of service to Almighty Allah and community.
He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
The delegations was received by Khalifah Sheikh Arif Yabagi, Madami of Lokoja, Brig General Abdulrahman Idrisu and other members of the deceased family
