The Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111 ,has conferred on a seasoned photographer,Alhaji Ahmad Zakari Dangana ,a.k.a DE NOBLE ZAK, the title of SHUGABAN AFEMAI OF LOKOJA
The conferrment took place on Wednesday at Maigari of Lokoja palace Lokoja.
The Royal father,during the installation said Dangana as a patriot,deserved the title of leader of Afemai indigenes residence in Lokoja .
He described him as good ambassador to Lokoja and Edo indigenes, especially the Auchi axis.
Shugaban Afemai in Lokoja Alhaji Dangana,while speaking with Newsmen after the installation ceremony,thanked the monarch,Lokoja Emirate Council and entire Afemai in Lokoja as well as members of Lokoja traditional council for standing behind him.
He promised to justify the confidence reposed on him stressing that he’ll do everything that would contribute to development of Lokoja Emirate Council and the state in general.
Earlier in his sallah message , executive chairman of Lokoja Local Government,Hon Danasabe Muhammad Danasabe,commended the Maigari of Lokoja for his unalloyed support for his administration.
He appealed to Lokoja indegines residence outside Lokoja to come home and invest.
“We don’t have any other place more than Lokoja,I want to appeal to our people, especially those outside the state to come home especially during festivities,we have a rich cultural heritage that if we revive it,it’ll draw investors to the town.”
On security,the council boss,admonished parents to watch the children and called on youths to avoid cultism ,drug abuse and other vices.
The chairman promised to pay a monthly allowance of Ten thousand Naira (₦10,000) to the five Hakimis and N20,000 to Waziri Of Lokoja
Speaking with THEANALYSTNG ,after the installation, Muhammad Zakari Dangana,one of the son of Shugaban Afemai in Lokoja, expressed appreciation to His Royal Highness, Maigari of Lokoja for conferring on his father the traditional title of leader of Afemai indigenes in Lokoja.
“I want to use this medium to thank his Royal Highness for the opportunity he gave our father to led the Afemai community in Lokoja,my appreciation goes to all our people for standing behind our leader, Alhaji Ahmed Zakiri Dangana,may Allah reward you all” he prayed
The ceremony was witnessed by the Executive chairman of Lokoja local government,Hon. Danasabe Muhammed Danasabe, Hon Isah T. Umar member representing Lokoja 1 constituency, Deputy Commissioner of Police and Cigari of Lokoja, Ahmed Muhammad Sanusi,Daman of Lokoja ,Alhaji Sulaiman Baba and waziri of Lokoja, Alhaji Abdulrahman Idi.
Others are:traditional title holders, members of Afemai community in Lokoja, former DLG, Lokoja Local government, Engineer Farouk Yahaya, politicians and a host of others.
