Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole, Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly has received with sadness the news of the shocking and sudden demise of Hajiya Belkisu Sulaiman, Mother of Hon Shaba Ibrahim, member representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency after a brief illness.
This was contained in a press release signed by Mr femi Olugbemi Chief Press Secretary to the Honourable Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly and made available to TheAnalystNG in Lokoja on Sunday.
He described her death at this time as a great loss not only to the Sulaiman Ibrahim family but the entire federal constituency and state as her words of wisdom and support will be greatly missed.
He said Hajiya Belkisu Sulaiman was a virtuous woman who through her commitment and hard work was able to nurture and bring up a son like the Honourable member of the National Assembly whose contributions has reshaped and repositioned the federal constituency.
He charged her entire family members to uphold the legacy of her diligence, tolerance and perseverance as the vacuum created by her demise will be hard to fill.
He pray that Allah erase her wrongdoings and grant her Aljanat Firdausi.
On behalf of the entire members of the 7th Assembly, management and staff of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Matthew Kolawole wishes to commiserate with the family of Hajiya Belkisu Sulaiman, over her death which occurred yesterday being Saturday in Abuja.
He prayed that God grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
