Cigari of Lokoja ,Alhaji Ahmed Sanusi,On Saturday led a delegation of friends,Islamic clerics and well wishers on a thank you visit to His Royal Highness ,the Maigari of Lokoja,Dr Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi 111 OON at his palace in Lokoja.
It could recalled that the Monarch recently conferred the traditional title of CIGARI OF LOKOJA on Sanusi.
In his speech, the royal Father explained that Sanusi was conferred with the title in recognition of the spectacular role he had been playing in promoting the ideals of the Lokoja Emirate Council over the years.
According to him, the Assistant commissioner of police had proven his worth in contributing his quota toward the development of Lokoja Emirate Council and the state in general.
He pointed out that the Lokoja Emirate Council would continue to give honour to whom it is due stressing that the conferment of the title would serve as a source of inspiration to those who might wish to emulate them.
Prayers was offered by the Chief imam of unguwan kura juma’a Mosque,Sheikh Abubakar Adamu.
Those that accompanied the new cigari of Lokoja include: Chief imam of kutepa Juma’a Mosque, Imam Abu Bilal,Imam Of Baba Nagari juma’a Mosque, Alfa Iduwo and Malam Tanko Tale,friends and well wishers among others.
