As Muslims celebrate this year’s eidil-Adha,Gabi of Lokoja Alhaji Sulaiman Baba Ali, has congratulated Muslims ummah on the celebration of this year’s eidil-kabir, calling for sustained prayers for peace and progress of Kogi, Lokoja Emirate and the country at large.
This was contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to TheAnalystNG in Lokoja on Tuesday.
He admonished Muslims to reflect on the significance of the period which is a sacrifice to extend hands of love and friendship to one another especially the less privileged.
He called on all Nigerians to tolerate, love, and live in peace with one another irrespective of religion, political or ethnic differences to build an egalitarian society.
Ali who holds the traditional title of GABI OF LOKOJA,called on religious political, traditional, and community leaders to always preach peace and unity among their people just as he called on people to always be law-abiding, pray and support leaders at all levels to succeed.
He, therefore, enjoined Nigerians especially Muslims to use the period to also pray for God’s intervention in security and other emerging challenges facing the country.
