Lokoja Local Government Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Maikudi Bature has described the recall threat issued to Senator Smart Adeyemi by a politically sponsored group as a futile project that will not see the light of the day.
Reacting to a statement issued by Lokoja Progressive Association threatening to recall Senator Smart Adeyemi for no reason, Bature said that all the issues raised by the group which he described as an unregistered group were not only unnecessary, baseless but pedestrian in all ramifications.
He said: “We want to state categorically that Senator Smart Adeyemi is the most vibrant, articulate and well-focused Senator ever to represent Kogi West Senatorial zone in the Senate and we stand to be corrected.
“We want to warn that no amount of intimidation through the threat of recall and sponsored attack on the personality of Senator Adeyemi in the social media platform would deter him from saying the truth.”
Bature further stated that Adeyemi’s impact as a parliamentarian is felt everywhere in the entire state, noting that any attempt to even think of recalling him would backfire out rightly.
He added that the Senator has brought hope to the electorates saying that he is a patriot who has the interest of Kogi at heart
The APC Chairman further stated that Adeyemi has lived all his life fighting for justice and equity for the common man, adding that the fact that he is a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will never stop him from challenging injustice and tyranny in the country.
“Let us also warn again this faceless group that any attempt to touch Senator Adeyemi would stamp the death warrant on the sponsored group and their paymasters.
“Adeyemi has wide followership he enjoys not only in his senatorial zone but the whole state,” he stated
