NEMA, Road Safety Corps, Fed Fire Service Organise One Day Training On Safety For VIGILANTE GROUP OF Nigeria( VGN), Lokoja Local Goverment

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Road Safety Corps, Kogi state Fire Service, in conjunction with Deajob Global Network has organised a one day safety training for the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Lokoja Local Goverment,aimed at enhancing their strategy,skills and productivity.

The workshop which was opened on Saturday at Crowther Memorial College,Lokoja attracted many Vigilante commandants,officers and men of VGN across Lokoja Local Goverment area.

NEMA head of operations,Abuja office, Mr Bitrus Samuel who spoke on behalf of other resources persons in his opening remarks said ,the essence of the workshop is to educate and sensitize security officers on disaster management.

Samuel explained that,while it is important to protect lives and properties of citizens,members of VGN must must ensure that they acure knowledge on disaster management.

He reiterated that security officers must put into consideration the mandate and the confidence respond on them by the society.

in his own remarks, Commandant of Vigilante Group of Nigeria(VGN), Lokoja Local Goverment Area,Mr Hassan Yusuf,said the workshop is expected to enhance VGN members skills during emergencies, especially fire and other disasters.

It is in the light of the above: “that the VGN in conjunction with Deajob Global Network is organizing this workshop to ensure that officers and men of VGN are abreast with how to manage disaster during the time of their duties” he stated

Chief Executive of Deajob Global Network, Prince Rotimi Omopariola, while speaking at the workshop,urged participants to utilize the benefit of the workshop and appreciated stakeholders support and cooperation.
