Former Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Ahmed Umar Imam, Alhaji Sulaiman Baba,the Daman of Lokoja, Abdulmajeed Yabagi on Friday attended the wedding Fatiha of Abdulwaheed Muhammad daughter,Summayya and Aliyu in Lokoja
The wedding Fatiha which took place at Unguwan Fawa Lokoja, witnessed the presence of dignitaries from within and outside the state
The Chief Imam of Lokoja Central Mosque ,Sheikh Aminu Sha’aban presided over the wedding and contracted the marriage between Summayya and Aliyu after the announcement of N50,000 dowry in line with Islamic injunctions.
Speaking with our reporter after the wedding, former DLG Lokoja Local Goverment, Engineer Yahaya Farouk Who stand in for the father of the bride, admonished the couple to put God first in their affairs, build their marriage on trust, patience and respect to one another as well as remain prayerful at all the time.
He congratulated them and their parents, praying Almighty Allah to bless the marriage.
Mother of the bride, Hajiya Fatima Abdulwaheed expressed appreciation to the friends of Abdulwaheed and all the guests that attended the occasion for their show of love and solidarity to her and her families in the absence of her husband.
