Police in Kano have honour Garba Saleh Rabo, an inspector who rejected the sum of one Million Naira offered to him as bribe.
Speaking to journalists ,Kano the state Commissioner of Police Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko called on other policemen to emulate the sterling qualities exhibited by Mr Rabo.
The commissioner made the called while presenting a reward of one million Naira to the gallant officer.

A statement issued by police spokesperson in Kano Abdullahi Kiyawa in the early hours of Friday said Mr Rabo and another policeman Jamilu Buhari are working with Kano state Consumer Protection Council task force.
He said it was in the course of their operation they received information that expired goods worth billions of Naira were kept in a warehouse in Kano metropolis.
He said upon receiving the information “the task force team stormed the warehouse, where one million Naira was offered as bribe. They rejected the bribe, recover the expired goods, the money as exhibit and arrested the suspect.
Also speaking the Acting Managing Director of the Consumer Protection Council (CPC) Baffa Dan’agundi commended the policemen for rejecting the bribe.
Mr Dan’agundi said the council has decided to reciprocate the good conduct of the policemen by presenting the gift of one million Naira.
He called on people to continue to support the Police and appreciate those with outstanding performances.
