The Etsu Nupe, and chairman Niger state Council of chiefs ,,Alhaji (Dr) Yahaya Abubakar has applauded Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the bravery he displays in his leadership style, stating that he addresses issues with surety and authority as true leaders should.
The Monarch stated this on Monday at his palace in Bida Niger state, when he grant audience to Kogi State Forum of Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) who paid him a working visit to solicit his support and blessing towards Governor Bello’s bid for Presidentcy 2023.
The Royal father, who described Bello as an informed man who understands the intricacies of governance and the authority that leaders should have, applauded him for the policies of his administration so far, especially as it also concern youth and women inclusion.
He noted that Kogi and Niger states share many commonalities, ranging from ancestral and cultural make-ups, hence the need to encourage Governor Bello, being a young leader who understands the times and what it takes to lead.
The royal father then prayed for the forum, promising to have them in his prayers and wished them success in their endeavors.
Earlier the Chairman of the Forum and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on ICT, Hon Ismail Umar,informed Etsu Nupe that the were in his palace to seek for his Royal blessings in their continuation of their visits to chairmen of traditional councils in North Central to intimate them and seek their support ahead of Gov. Bello’s bid to contest the 2023 presidential election.
He said both Kogi and Niger are of Kwararafa heritage which is why they need one another, noting that no Governor has given the youth the opportunity that Governor Bello was giving to them.
According to him, the calls for the Governor to vie for the exalted position was mooted by some youths across the nation, stressing that the agitation has continued,hence the need for every leader of good conscience to get involved.
He said Governor Bello is a Governor that is interested in the security and unity of the country, hence the need to have his type at the helm of the nation’s affairs, especially given the current trends in the country.
The visit to Bida emirate Council is first of the long planned efforts to take the message of the Governor’s Presidential Ambition to all parts of the country beginning with the North Central Geopolitical Zone.
