The Executive director Risk Management, Keystone Bank Plc Alhaji Tijjani Aliyu has organised a one year Fidau Prayer for his late Father Alhaji Sidi Aliyu Sulaiman and his late mother Hajiya Safa’u Sidi Ali on Saturday in Lokoja.
In his sermon at the Fidau Prayer, the Registra of Kogi state Shari’a Court of Appeals, Justice Bello Muhammad Bello,
who led other Islamic clerics, said; “Muslims children should always endevour to pray for the reposed of their parents everyday just as the commended Aliyu for remembering his parents.
In his own sermon, Khalifa Arif Yabagi appealed to Muslims, especially the youth on the need to worship Allah by praying for their parents.
He commended Aliyu for remembering his parents stressing that what departed souls need is prayers.
In his clossing prayer, Khalifa Ibrahim Kenchi prayed for the reposed of late Sidi Ali and his wife Hajiya Safa’u.
He further called on Muslims to intensify prayers on the current insecurity in the country.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the prayer, Aliyu who is also the Sadauna of Kakanda thanked the Federation of Kakanda Muslim and those
that attended the fida’u prayers.
The prayer which was well attended has Engineer Ahmed Abdulmalik,Barr Abdulmalik Umar, Sofada Waziri, top Government officials, bankers and Islamic scholars in attendance.
