Bashir Gegu Thanks Gov. Bello As he marks one year in office,says Kogi state became the second state in terms of revenue generation

The Kogi state Commissioner of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu has thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for giving him to opportunity to serve in his cabinet.

Gegu stated this in a appreciation messege he signed to mark his 365 days in office as the Commissioner in-charge of solid minerals and Natural Resources.
The statement read;

“Today Mark’s our one year in office as a Commissioner of Solid Minerals and Natural resources.

I thank His Excellency , Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello, the most Youthful, useful, energetic, vibrant and resourceful Governor of Kogi State, for entrusting me with the task of developing Solid Minerals and Natural resources.

It’s a rare opportunity for me to prove my capacity in the domain of brilliant Kogi Youths.
As we are moving closer to greatness as a state, greatness shall we record at end of the tunnel, in sha Allah.

I appreciate the deputy Governor, His Excellency, Chief Edward David Onoja for supervisory roles accorded to this new ministry.

The Chief of Staff to Kogi state Governor Pharm. Abdulkarim Jamiu Asuku and all other state appointees are warmly appreciated for the team work and unity.

I sincerely thank His Royal Majesty, the Ohimege Igu of Koton Karfe, Alh Abdulrazak Gambo Sani Isa Koto, for his advise and blessings always throughout this journey.

We were able to position Kogi state in the nation and world Map in terms of Solid Minerals endowments in the state.

Kogi state became the second state in terms of revenue generation from solid Minerals.

Employment off technical staff was recorded within this one year in office.

The Ministry was structured and revamped to an international standard. A model that is enviable.

Reduction of illegal mining activities was made possible under our leadership.

Enabling environment was created for investors in solid minerals sector.

Partnership with the Miners association in establishing one of the largest skill acquisition centre for miners in Ajaokuta Local Government.

Categorization of solid minerals and the grouping of artisanal miners almost completed.

All the above mentioned can not be achieved without the support of our God fearing Governor, His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello, GYB2PYB in sha Allah.

We were able to touch people’s live positively through empowerment, influencing development, payment of hospital Bills, payment of school fees, employment opportunity for our teaming youths and women, strengthening of traditional institutions etc.

We can do more, Kogi state citizens should embrace the party APC as we upload the endless projects for the remaining years.

I thank my family, friends, political associates, traditional council and religious leaders for always standing by me always.”
