Lokoja Local Goverment
All Progressive Congress( APC) on Thursday ,flagged off its Campaign ahead of December 12,2020 local government election,with a called on Governor Yahaya Bello to contest for the 2023 presidential election.
Former speaker Kogi state house of Assembly,Rt Hon. Abdulrahman Dangana,who spoke on behalf of former and present serving members from the area, said Governor Bello’s tracks records of achievements, especially on Security need commendations.
He called on the people of the area to continued their support to the APC Administration under the leadership of gov Bello.
A motion calling on Bello to contest the 2023 presidential election was moved by Hon. Sulaiman Babadoko and seconded by member representing Lokoja 1 constituency, hon Isah Tanimu Umar and his counterpart from Lokoja 2 Constituency,Hon. Idris Ndako.
Speaking during handing over of flags to the ten wards councilors at Lokoja APC secretariat, Chairman of the party ,Hon. Maikudi Bature urged APC members to remain united and committed to the ideals of the party for it to emerge victorious at the elections.
He said the APC believe in democracy and strongly believe it would campaign base on issues to enable it win convincingly.
Chairman of Lokoja local government APC campaign council,Hon. Danladi Aguye, said he is optimistic the party will emerge victorious at the forthcoming council election.
“We will campaign vigorously. We start early and sustain the tempo till the end.” he said
Aguye called on the people of the state to support governor’s aspirations we match towards 2023.
“I want to use this medium to appeal to our governor to answer the calls of Nigerians by signifying his intentions to contest the 2023 presidential election.”
In his own remarks, Member representing Lokoja 1 Constituency,Hon. Isah Tanimu Umar,called on APC members from the area on the need to rise up and campaign so that the party would win all the council seat.
According to the lawmaker, “You cannot sit in your house and expect to win elections.
You have to tell the people what you have for them. So for us in APC, in every election, we always go out to met the people because we believe in the people, we have the people, we will always win.
I am glad there is no crisis in the party in any part of the local government.”he said
Lokoja Local government Chairmanship flagbearer,Hon. Danasabe Muhammed Danasabe commended the people of Lokoja Local Goverment for their support ,he assured them that the APC government would continue to deliver on its Electoral promises.
He expressed confidence that the Party will win in the forthcoming council polls.
He commended Governor Bello For given him the opportunity to serve and promised to justify the confidence repose in him.

Highlights of the ceremony includes, presentation of flags to the ten councilorship candidates by the party local government Chairman,Hon. Maikudi bature.
