On Sunday, 27th December, 2020,Danko Development Forum(DDF) a Non Governmental Organization committed to science education and primary health care will commission Science Laboratory at Government Girls’ Secondary school(GGSS), Sarkin Noma, Lokoja.

GGSS was identified as its next focus of intervention as a fallout of a public lecture on Girl Child education during the 10 year anniversary of DDF interventions in Science schools and primary health care in Lokoja metropolis.

GGSS was established in year 2002 following outcry by stakeholders in Ward E who were then concern by the high level of illiteracy and Hawking among the Girl child in especially Sarkin Noma area.

The school initially took off at the primary school site at Sarkin Noma before relocating to the present permanent site.

Even though the level of illiteracy and Hawking has reduced among the Girl Child in the area, the school lacks science laboratory and even qualified teachers in sciences, hence constrained to graduate science students.

The intervention of Danko Development Forum therefore in especially Building and equipping of Science laboratory will go along way in encouraging the students to key into sciences and helped in filling the existing gaps.

In the word of the Parent Teachers’ Association (PTA),Chairman, Mal. Zubairu Idatsu Yakubu
