Escae-Benin university, situated in Benin republic has conferred a Honarary Doctorate degree (Doctor Honoris Causa) on the APC leader in Lokoja local govt and Katuka of Lokoja,Alhaji Bala Salisu
Speaking at the awarding ceremony,Chancellor of the university, Dr Mehoba D. Theodore, said the board of Trustees of the university, under the powers bestowed upon them have decided to confer the degree of doctorate Honoris Causa
Philosophy ( PhD)in public administration on Alhaji Bala Salisu in recognition of his achievement in leadership.
He said the university have identified with Dr Salisu’s passion, commitment and great enthusiasm in providing strategic leadership and selfless service to his people and the university Community in general.
Mehoba called on other Nigerians to emulate Dr Salisu who he describe as patriotic Nigerian.
Responding,Dr Bala Salisu,the Katuka of Lokoja ,thanked the university for the honour done to him.
He said the award will spurn him to do more by committing more into the Nigerian project in general and Kogi state in particular.
He assured them of his support and promised to be a good Ambassador of the institution at all time.
Dr. Salisu Commended governor Yahya Bello of kogi state,his Chief of staff Abdulkareem Asuku,the chief of staff to interior minister, Alhaji Sulaiman Baba Ali,and state minister, FCT, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu for their support
The Award ceremony which took place on Saturday has friends and other well wishers in attendance.
