The Area Commander Kogi state police command Lokoja, represented by Mr Famola Jalele on Sunday, commissioned the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) operational office situated in Ward D’ Lokoja,to improve security in the area and environs.
In his welcome address,the Hakimi of Ward D’ Isah Nasidi said the operational office is created to boost security in the area.
Commended the DLG, Farouk, former SSA Security Lokoja Local Goverment, the DSO Waziri,All commandants of Vigilantes for their corporation.
“I want to thank you all for your efforts towards restoring peace in Lokoja local govt in general and ward D in particular”
He charged members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria,Ward D’ Division to perform their duty without fear or favour.
The area commander who was represented by Famola Jalele, assured the group of police corporation and promised to deliver the group request to his principal.
Farouk in his contribution,commended ward D’ Community for setting the pace adding that with the commissioning of Ward operational office,the number of crime would be eradicate and urged other wards to emulate ward D.
The event was withnessed by the Hakimi of Ward D’ Malam Isah Baba Nasidi, the director of Administration Lokoja Local Goverment, Engineer Yahaya Danladi Muhammad Farouk,who was represented by Hon. Yusuf Muhammad Waziri,DSO Lokoja local govt,SSA on security,Hon Danasabe Muhammed Danasabe, was represented by Hon. Maikudi Bature APC chairman Lokoja Local Goverment.
Others are DSP Ogar Assima who stand in for the Divional police office (DPO) A’ Division Lokoja, commandants of state vigilante,JTF,and other security agents.
