Protest rocks Kogi Poly over Killing of HND 2 Student
Students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja have blocked the ever busy Lokoja Abuja Federal Highway following the Killing of an HND 2 Student.
The students angered by the killing yesterday night of the students are protesting, consequently have caused gridlock along the highway.
For now the Men of the Kogi State Police Command have however brought the situation to normalcy, even though the students are still chanting war songs.
There is apprehension and tension as people are moving in fear and unknown of the next move by the students.
The student was killed by a reckless driver who hit the student and ran away.
This killing yesterday is coming at the heels of another student killed on Saturday in another road accident along the same federal highway.
The students anger was fuelled by the fact that despite apprehending the driver and handing him to the police, he was alleged to have been freed by this morning.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP William Ayah confirmed the accident and protest by the students
