Residents of Isegba oba Felele community in Lokoja local government have decried the wrongful incursion into the land meant for Muslim community.
Spokesman of Muslim ummah and chief imam of felele juma’at mosque,Ustaz Muhammad Kabir disclosed this while speaking with Newsmen in felele on Saturday.
He expressed shock that despite the ruling by Area court in favour of the Muslim community, the Intruders still remain adamant,claiming the ownership of the property.
According to Ustaz Kabiru,as a peace loving community and to ensure peaceful co-exeistence among adherents of deferent religion,:
“We involved the police to resolve the the issue by callimg the intruder to order in other to avoid religion crisis.
The land in dispute belongs to Muslim community,that was where we observed our Eidi prayers before we moved to the present Eidi praying ground due to the expansion and increased in population, the community has all the documents to backup there claim” he said
.
After inspecting the site, the Area commander advised the two parties to maintain the statusquo until next Wednesday 22, October 2020.
