Kogi state council of Ulama’u led by former Kogi state Grand Khadi,Honourable Justice Sulaiman Olurufemi on Friday commiserated with the Ohimege of Igu kingdom,Alhaji Abdulrasaq Gambo Isakoto, in his place over the death of one of his traditional title holder,Alhaji Tijjani Shuiabu Tatu.
Spokesman of the group,malam zakariya’u Aliyu informed the royal father that the delegation were in his palace to commisarate with him over the demised of Tatu and thanked him for honouring the council invitation to the Hijrah 1442 commemoration which was held last month in Lokoja.
“We are here to thank you for the honour done to the council,your presence added glamour to the event,your contributions towards the development of islam need commendation,we pray Allah to continued to guide and protect you as you pilot the affairs of Igu Kingdom” he prayed.
Aliyu commended the Royal father for hosting refugees in his dormain who were ransacked by bandits and commisarated with him on the recent flood disaster that affected some communities in his dormain.
In his own remarks,former Grand Khadi of KOGI state,Hon. Justice Sulaiman Olurufemi, urged His Royal majesty who doubled as the Grand Patron of Kogi State Council of Ulama’u and the family of late Tatu to find solace in the good work of the deceased he prayed that Almighty Allah would forgive the shortcomings of the traditional title holder and Grant him aljanat firdaus.
Responding,the Ohimege of Igu Kingdom,His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Gambo Isakoto,thanked the council for the visit and assured them of his support at all time.
The Royal father said he derived joy anytime he attend event organised by the Council especially the large turn out being withnessed at every Islamic events organised by the council.
He congratulated them on the successful hosting of this year’s Hijrah commomeration Which witnessed a large turnout.
The delegation consist of : Hon Justice Sulaiman Olurufemi, Alhaji Babaango,Khadi Idris,and
Mal Zakariya’u Aliyu.
Others include:Malam Ali Baba,Alhaji Illiyasu Waziri and Alhaji A. D Yakubu among others.
