Acute Water Supply;Normalcy will soon be restore – Saqir

The recent water scarcity been face in Lokoja and environs
was caused by a total electrical power system collapsed of intermitted supply from last Thursday which had hindered smooth operation of the water facility.

This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the General Manager,Kogi State Water Board,Engineer Saqir Abdulsalam muhammed and made available to Journalists in Lokoja on Sunday.

According to the statement, Engineers are presently working round the clock to restore power and water supply.

Part of the statement reads:
“There is a total electrical power system collapse after series of intermittent supply from last Thursday which had hindered smooth operations of the water facility.

The System collapse is from the AEDC/transmission center, however work is ongoing to restore power supply and consequently water supply, we regret any inconvenience this might cause the general public,” the statement Said.
