In showing appreciation for his appointment,the newly conferred Daman of Lokoja, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Baba, alongside his family members and friends paid the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111 OON,a thank you visit.
While in the palace,the team which was led by col. Ndamadu Ndalugi (rtd), Salama of Muye,thanked the Royal father for considering baba Suleiman as the Daman of Lokoja.
He described Daman as a worthy ambassador,whose contributions towards the development of humanity and Lokoja emirate council is unparalleled.
While congratulating the new Dama, Ndalugi called on others to emulate him.
Earlier,the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111, expressed gratitude to God and his subjects for the sustained prayers for the unity of Lokoja Emirate council,Kogi state and the country at large.
According to the Royal father, Suleiman is a good ambassador of Lokoja and it people who deserved to be encourage.
“‘After the demised of the Daman of Lokoja, late Rt. Hon. Umar Buba Jibril,three persons applied for the position of Daman of Lokoja ,but I declined because I reserved the position for Alhaji Suleiman Baba whose contributions towards the development of Lokoja and it people I observed needed my support.
I was acquitted with all Dama’s contributions to our people in Abuja,he’s a peacesetter,as the Paramount ruler of Lokoja who always ad.onished my subject to maintained peace and unity amongst them, I have no option other than to conferred on him the traditional title of Daman of Lokoja to encourage him and others to do more” Maigari said.
The Royal Father appreciated all his subjects for their outstanding support to Lokoja Emirate council and seek for its sustenance.
Those in the entourage of the of the new Daman are,chairman of Danko Development forum, Alhaji Bama Mudi,the Salama of Muye,Col. Ndamadu Ndalugi (rtd), DLG Lokoja Local Goverment, Engineer Danladi Farouk, Bin-Ebiya Tijjani Shehu,a.k.a Best ,Hon. Shiru Lawal,and member Representing Lokoja 1 Constituemcy,Hon Isah Tanimu Umar.
Others includes;the Garkuwa of Lokoja,Barr. Katu Sule,Hon. Sulaiman Baba Anda, representative of the Chief Imam of Lokoja,sheikh Abubakar Adamu among others.
