—Resolve to present a credible candidate as councilor
All Progressive Congress (APC) stakeholders from Ward D, in Lokoja local government area have passed a vote of confidence on the Director of Local Government and Head of Administration of Lokoja Local Government, Engineer Danladi Farouk based on his performance indices and his rising ratings and credibility among the people of the area.
The confidence vote was passed on Tuesday at a meeting of the leaders and stakeholders of the ruling party held at Lokoja Local Goverment APC stakeholders Chairman,Hon Bala Salisu’s GRA residence Lokoja.
Speaking at the meeting, Salisu said since Farouk assumed office few months ago,he had changed the parception of the people by introducing positive changes in the council.
“our pride who has delivered so well across board and has helped to positively reshape people’s perception of our local government need our support and commendations to more to our people”, the APC leader said
In his own contributions,a one time member Representing Lokoja 1, Constituency, Hon. Sulaiman Babadoko commended Governor Yahaya Bello for appointing Farouk as the DLG in charge of Lokoja Local Government.
“I want to use this medium onbehalf of the entire people of Ward D irrespective of political party, that we are greatfu to His Exellency for given one of our worthy son, Engineer Danladi Farouk the opportunity to serve,we are optimistic that he’ll not disappoint the good people of Lokoja Local Government” Babadoko said.
Responding, Engineer Farouk who was overwhelmed thanked them for the confidence reposed on him.
He reassured the party leadership of his support as well as his commitment to the overall good of the local government area.
The vote of confidence was moved by Alhaji Muhammed Attati Bozy and Seconded by Alhaji Uba Sadi.
The stakeholders also deliberated on the forthcoming local government election with particular emphasis on the selection of a credible candidate among the seven aspirants that signifies their intentions to represent the area at the council.
The meeting was attended by Hon. Bala Salisu, Hon. Sulaiman Babadoko, Engineer Abdulsalam Sagir Muhammad, General Manager Kogi state Water Board,Alhaji muhammad Attati Bozy, and Alhaji Bala Bello a.k.a Bala Setraco.
Others are: APC Chairman Lokoja local government, Hon. Maikudi Bature, Ward D,APC Chairman, Barr. Danladi Sani Hon Dauda uba Sadi APC ward Secretary, Hon. Tanimu Audu and Hon. Alhassan Dan Gwanati.
Also in attended include: Hon. Danasabe Idi, Alhaji Danasabe Sule a. k. a Garkuwa, Alhaji Balan Katume, and Hon. Babawo Usman.
