The Lokoja Indigenous Newspaper Publishers/Bloggers, (LINPB), of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kogi State Council has conferred the award of excellence service delivery on the Lokoja Local Government Treasurer, Alhaji Isah Adoga.
According the group, the award was in recognition of his performance especially in Prudence, Transparent and Financial Management in the Local Government at a time the council experience financial challenges owing to the short fall from the federation account.
Presenting the award, the NUJ Secretary, Alhaji Saidu Adamu, pointed out that the efforts and activities of the honored Treasurer attracted the LINPB to bestow the award of excellence on him.
Ademu encouraged him not to deter but continue in his commendable activities adding that LINPB and other well meaning entities are taking notes and will always be there to support, encourage and criticize when neccesary.
In the meantime, the treasurer has dedicated the Award of Excellence conferred on him by LINPB to the staffers of Lokoja LGA.
The treasurer further described the award as another challenge for him to do more.
Adoga who pointed out that inspite of all temptations and provocative circumstance, the staffers of Lokoja local government council still remained dedicated to their duties and understanding.
He thanked members of the LINPB for the recognition stressing that he will not rest on his oars but will commit renewed effort in ensuring that the staffers of Lokoja LGA remain best in the state.
Hailing the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his leadership and dogged response to workers salary, Adoga pointed out that the strong commitment to the payment of salaries made other governors to follow suit
According to him, leadership is like his personal business and therefore he always take his time to succeed when given a responsibility. “we do our personal business to succeed that’s why whenever I’m in a position I take it as my personal business with the airm to succeed ” Adoga concluded.
Earlier Amuda Dan Sulaiman FAB, leader of the team said they were in the Treasurer’s office to encourage him to do more for his people and the state at large.
According to him, the reward for hardwork was in heaven stressing that the award was just a way to encourage him.
