Chairman of Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation and son of late Prince Abubakar Audu has said the Foundation has sunk 5 boreholes in five Local Government areas across the state to tackle the perennial water scarcity facing some part of the state.
This was disclosed by Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu in a telephone interview with our reporter in Lokoja on Wednesday.
According to him; “We have sunk five boreholes in Ogbonicha, Ofu LGA ,Ogane-Emewe in Dekina Local Goverment Area and Igala mela /Odulu Local Government area.
Others are: Kabba/Bunu, Adavi and Ogori-Magongo Local Government Areas respectively. We plan to cover all the 21 Local Government Areas in the next few years insha Allah” he said.
He promised to initiate policies and projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of the entire people of Kogi state irrespective of tribe, religious or political affiliation.
Shuaibu assured Kogites that the foundation would embark on people-oriented projects to fight poverty, unemployment and boost the socio-economic welfare of Kogi state.
He urged Kogites to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and embrace peace and tolerate one another irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliations.
