Many eminent Nigerians attended the wedding fatiha of the daughter of Assistant Commissioner of Police Sanusi Ahmed Bakasonmatsi which took place on Saturday.
The wedding of Malama Aminah Hassana Sanusi and Malam Muhammad Ndafada Kantigi took place at Ahmad Bakasonmatsi Mosque, Karaworo Lokoja.
Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Sha’aban assisted by Sheikh Abubakar Adamu and Malam Zakari unguwan Hamza prayed for the couple,announced the payment of One Hundred Thousand Naira as the dowry and advised the couple to be guided by the teachings of prophet Muhammad in their matrimonial home.
Member Representing Lokoja/ Kogi Federal Constituency,Hon. Shaba Ibrahim gave out the hand of the bride while the Chief Imam of Loko Goma represented the groom’s Family.
Speaking to Newsmen, father of the bride ACP Sanusi, who was overwhelmed thanked all those that attended the Walimatul-Qur’an Recitation and wedding fatiha of his daughter,Aminah and her husband Muhammad.
The wedding ceremony was attended by former speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly,Rt. Hon Alfa Imam, Director of Local Government Administration Lokoja Local Government,Engineer Danladi Farouk,Hon. Shiru Lawal and Lokoja APC Stakeholders Chairman,Hon. Bala Salisu.
Other dignitaries at the event were the Oba of Yoruba Lokoja,Chief Alhaji Audu Oke, Shatima of Lokoja,Hon. Mabo Kasim,the representative of HRH, the Maigari of Lokoja, who doubled as the doubled Waziri of Lokoja, Alhaji Abdulrahman Idi,Hakimis,Malam Gimba who represented Khalfa Nurudeen Yusuf Abdallah
