Kogi philanthropist and All Progressive Congress leader in Kabba, Elder Benjamin Olowodola has commended the APC led government at the Federal and State levels for the effective collaborative efforts that has resulted in the award of contract for the construction of the almost elusive Bunu-Kupa road, a road that is strategically at the centre of the economy of the villages around this axis. He says the decision and subsequent approval has brought sweet taste and pride of his participation in politics back.
The Elder statesman who is reputed to be a community developer and one that has spent hundreds of millions in that regard says he is exited because the long suffering for APC is yielding fruitful results for the benefit of the masses. Elder Olowodola describes this decision of the federal government as timely and unprecedented to these our people that have been neglected for many decades.
When the news of the federal executive council approval for the construction of the road came to me, it came as a soothing surprise and pleasant act that is timely as we come out of the scourge of coronavirus, the best meaning that I can give to this good news is that government of President Buhari has the people of Kogi West at heart, I commend him seriously for that, I also commend our Senator who didn’t stop lobbying until the project came to fruition and I thank the Governor too for all the support he gave. The resultant effect is that a section of my people are seeing dividend of democracy which has a positive spiral effect on the entire people of Kogi State the Elder statesman says
Chief Olowodola however charged the communities around the road to own the project by giving all possible support to the contractor when construction starts. He also seized this opportunity to appeal to the Federal authorities to accelerate action towards the immediate take off of Kabba- Egbe- Ilorin road.
