As Wada wins in Supreme Court,PDP Urges for Unity

Following today’s ruling of the Apex Court affirming Engr Musa Wada as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the November 16, 2019 Governorship election, the state chapter of the party has called for deeper closing of ranks.
In a statement by its publicity Secretary, Bode Ogunmola, the party remarked that the judgment is victory for all, noting that there is no Victor and no vanguisher.
While urging all members of the party to embrace peace and strive for greater unity, the statement said both Engr Wada and Alhaji Abubakar Idris have been longing standing friends and in-law and therefore, noted that nothing, not even ambition can put a wedge in their relationship.
It urged that all members of the party should close ranks and work towards reclaiming the victory of the party at the Appellate Court.
“What should be of paramount importance to all party members is our victory at the Appeal Court. We should concentrate all efforts to reclaim.our stolen mandate”, the statement remarked.
It congratulated both Engr Musa and Alhaji ldris for the patience to follow the process through, noting that the final outcome of the case is victory for democracy and the rule of law.

Meanwhile ,the main Challenger to the Peoples Democratic Party Governoship ticket, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim says his insistence on Justice was aimed at strengthening the process of getting redress.

He said now that the Supreme Court has spoken, urged for calm and support for the Peoples Democratic Party candidate.

Abubakar Ibrahim made the disclosure in a statement accepting the outcome of the Supreme Court Ruling, stressed that he holds no grudge having exhausted the efforts to seek redress.

While he called on members of the PDP, particularly his supporters to accept the outcome, he said he has accepted the outcome in good faith and the will of Almighty, congratulated Engr. Musa Wada and the Kogi State PDP.
